A Look Back At Summer In The District, Women Of The Year, and End of Session.

Senator Stern in the chamber during the end of session, advocating his legislative package to his fellow Senators. Among his authored bills are hundreds of other bills waiting in the queue, of which the Senate diligently reviews as the constitutional deadline for all bills to be sent to the Governor’s desk approaches.

 

At the District-wide Women’s Leadership Summit, Senator Stern honored a number of leaders from across the community.

Senator Stern, along with the Mountains recreation and Conservation Authority, presented a $2.5 million check to Randall Winston, City of Los Angeles Deputy Mayor for Infrastructure and Councilmember Imelda Padilla to restore ecosystems in the Sepulveda Basin.

LA Sanitation will be accepting bulky items at five locations around the city each month throughout 2024. Furniture, carpet, yard trimmings, shelving, and wood will be accepted.
