Resources and Updates on Active Wildfires

Dear Community Member,

Senator Stern here. I know this email reaches many of you during a very difficult and stressful time, as active wildfires and windstorms continue to impact our region. Our office is committed to providing you with timely information and resources to help you stay safe.

Here are some resources to keep abreast of all disaster related information across Los Angeles.

 

Resources and Updates:

  • LA County Fire Information: LA County has created a one-stop webpage with maps of active fires and the latest updates. You can access it here: lacounty.gov/emergency.

  • CAL FIRE: For statewide updates, evacuation orders, and preparedness tips, visit CAL FIRE’s incident page. Ready LA: Sign up for real-time evacuation notices and critical updates specific to LA County.

    • Palisades Fire - as of 10:00 am 0% Containment and 17,234 acres burned

    • Eaton Fire - as of 10:00 am 0% Containment and 10,600 acres burned

    • Hurst Fire - as of 4:45 am 10% contained and 671 acres

  • APPLY for disaster relief now through FEMA

  • Active Fire Incident Map (CAL FIRE): Monitor ongoing fires in California, including those in Los Angeles County.

  • Air Quality Monitoring (South Coast AQMD): Get real-time air quality updates for Los Angeles and surrounding areas.

  • Public Safety Power Shutoffs

  • Evacuation guide

  • Latest Evacuation Map

  • Report outages online and track crew status at www.ladwp.com/outages or by calling 1-800-DIAL-DWP (1-800-342-5397).

  • Monitor LAFD Alerts to see updates on Red Flag Parking Restrictions and active fire incidents in the City of Los Angeles.

Preparing To Address Road Impacts:

  • StreetsLA, will have emergency trucks available citywide.

    • StreetsLA will also make additional staff available to respond as needed.

  • StreetsLA's Urban Forestry Division is prepared and ready to be deployed for emergency response and removal of tree debris.

  • Announcements involving significant road closures or transportation impacts will be updated at ladot.lacity.org/dotnews.

  • Remember to treat intersections with traffic lights that are out or flashing as four-way stops.
