Today, Senator Stern hosted a press conference for SB 1509, also known as “The NOT in California Act,” in anticipation of the Senate Appropriations Committee hearing for the bill on Thursday. SB 1509 is a significant measure aimed at cracking down on extreme speeding in the state. Senator Stern, alongside co-author Senator Roger Niello, and victims’ advocates Lili Trujillo-Pluckett, Lori Argumedo, and Damian Kevitt, gathered to shed light on the importance of this legislation.




Cyberbullying SB 1504 & Sammy’s Law SB 1444

Joining the Senator and other legislators will be families of kids who were victims of online dealers and cyberbullying.




SACRAMENTO, CA- Senator Stern will hold a press conference to address SB 1509, The NOT in California Act, targeting extreme speeding in the state. Victims’ advocates Lili Trujillo and Damian Kevitt will speak and lead a symbolic “die-in” to honor lives lost, joined by Senator Stern and Niello, who will emphasize the importance of protecting Californians on the roadways. The bill aims to tackle negligent driving behaviors, enhancing road safety and preventing future tragedies within the community.
